Born in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Rhee received his doctorate in medicine from Rush Medical College in Chicago in 1990. After completing his general surgery residency at the University of California — Davis/East Bay in Oakland, he did his urology residency at University of California/SF and Naval Hospital in Oakland. He practiced at Great Lakes Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, Illinois before moving to Minnesota in 1998. He specialized in adult and pediatric urology in St. Cloud, Minnesota before recently joining the Pediatric Urology Group.
Dedicated to finding the newest and most effective treatments for a variety of pediatric urology diseases and disorders, Dr. Rhee has participated in numerous investigational studies on conditions such as bladder cancer, prostatic hyperplasia and overactive bladder. In addition, he has co-authored a number of publications and given presentations on a variety of urology topics. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Rhee served as a Battalion Medical Officer for the 3rd Marine Division in Okinawa, Japan from 1991-1992. He and his wife, Beth, live in the Peoria area.
