Benjamin K. Rhee, MD

Education

Raised in the Chicago area, Dr. Rhee received his Bachelor of Science — Anatomical Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his doctorate in medicine from Rush Medical College in 1990. After completing his general surgery residency at the University of California – Davis/East Bay in Oakland, he did his urology residency at University of California/San Francisco and Naval Hospital in Oakland. He practiced for 10 years in Minnesota before returning to central Illinois and joining Pediatric Urology Group. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dedicated to Urology Research

Dedicated to finding the newest and most effective treatments for a variety of pediatric urology diseases and disorders, Dr. Rhee has participated in numerous investigational studies on conditions such as bladder cancer, prostatic hyperplasia and overactive bladder. In addition, he has co-authored a number of publications and given presentations on a variety of urology topics. His area of interest is minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. He has gained recognition in the field of pediatric robotic urologic surgery. Dr. Rhee is Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP).
