daVinci Surgical System is a state of the art robotic platform that allows specially trained surgeons to control robotic arms to perform complex surgical procedure though small (8mm) incisions instead of traditional open surgery which requires large incisions. This is the result of a specially designed stereo laparoscope and interchangeable micro-instruments. Increased precision can be offered for cutting and suturing of the delicate structures in pediatric patient.
After the patient is sleeping, small incisions are made into the abdomen and 8mm ports are placed into the belly. Specially designed long instruments are place through the ports and controlled by the surgeon using the daVinci Robotic System. These instruments can be interchanged and used to perform multiple procedures.
